Ilulissat is an authentic, colourful coastal town with around 4500 inhabitants, which makes it the 3rd largest town of Greenland. The thriving town is also home to about 2500 Greenlandic dogsledding dogs. This is one of the few places in the world, where you have the chance to witness old traditions going hand in hand with a modern Greenlandic lifestyle. Ilulissat is located right at Ilulissat Ice Fjord, a world–famous UNESCO Heritage site with its huge icebergs shed by the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier. The area offers many exciting activities and excursions for all kind of interests: adventurous, educational, culinary, or relaxing.
